Puppetry incorporates self expression, storytelling, creative writing, fine motor, drama and art skills, and is an effective educational medium for children, teenagers and adults alike.

Puppet making option at your party

This consists of a short puppet show, and thereafter each child makes their own puppet. Choose between sock or character/figure puppet making. Send your friends home with a gift that will bring them hours of fun!

Puppet making for Pre-schools, Foundation Phase and Primary Schools

Short puppet show followed by puppet making. Choose between sock puppet or character/figure puppet making. The workshops are carefully structured, and well organized. All materials provided.

Puppetry for high school learners

If the learners are embarking on a project to create their own show, Spellbound Puppets can give a lecture/demonstration outlining different puppet making methods, as well as stagecraft tips and script-writing techniques and manipulation.

Puppetry for adults

Puppet making for adults working with children. Puppetry training is offered for universities and colleges, for learner educators and educators, social and community workers, child and youth care workers.

Workshop duration

Approximately one and-a-half to two hours, but may be flexible according to the needs of the school, facility or organization, and the number of participants.

Puppetry training in partnership with NGOs

Puppetry is a highly effective means of getting important messages across. Consultation and training can be provided in close partnerships with NGOs, developing a programme for your NGO or organisation using puppetry as a tool for education and transformation.  Assistance in puppet stage design and puppet making and manipulation, as well as scripting may be provided.
